The Notre Dame of Greater Manila (NDGM), a private, sectarian, Catholic high school located in Caloocan City, was originally founded as an all-male school in 1963 by Rev. Fr. William P. Mc Grath, OMI of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate as per request of the Archdiocese of Manila under Archbishop Micheal J. O'Doherty in 1946. The Brief History of my school... :)
The Grade School Sector first opened in 1963 with only one building around the original 5.6 hectare campus before the neighboring
Our Lady of Grace Academy of Caloocan City, a former all-girls school, administered by the RVM sisters, acquired the 2.1 hectare
part of the lot. The High School Sector followed in 1965. From a student population of only 266 students and having only one
building and courses from Kinder 1 to Grade 5, the school now has 10 buildings, the Grade School Main Building, Grade School
Annex, High School Main Building, High School Science and Technology Building, the DMSTC Building for the school's vocational
students, the Gymnasium, High School Canteen, the Kinder School Building, the air-conditioned School Chapel and the Campus
General Services Office.
The school was given its first PAASCU accreditation in 1976 for Grade School and 1979 for High School. It was given level
2, 5-year re-accreditation status since 1996.
